INTRODUCTION

C65100 copper plate and copper strip production process

1. Copper plate production process

Copper plate production mainly follows the traditional rolling process, and the core steps include:

Blank making: According to the alloy composition requirements, the copper block is cast by the upward method to ensure the purity (Cu ≥ 99.5%) and precision of the raw materials.

Assay: Real-time detection of chemical composition and adjustment of smelting parameters to ensure the qualification of the finished product.

Hot rolling: The copper strip is hot rolled at a high temperature of 1000℃ and pressed into a copper strip blank with a thickness of about 2.3cm.

Water washing: Remove surface impurities (such as oxidation spots) through an acidic or non-acidic water pool to improve the surface gloss.

Rolling: It is divided into primary rolling and intermediate rolling, and the copper strip is gradually processed to the target thickness, and finally a flat copper plate is formed.

Quality optimization: Focus on grain control and surface treatment at high temperature to ensure stable mechanical properties.

2. Copper strip production process

The copper strip process is more complicated, emphasizing cold rolling and precision processing:

Melting and casting: Use induction furnace or horizontal continuous casting process to accurately control the ratio of elements such as silicon and manganese to reduce pores.

Milling/grinding: Fine processing of the surface of the strip to ensure smoothness.

Cold rolling: divided into rough rolling (to 4mm), medium rolling (to 1.5mm), and finishing rolling (to 0.2-0.8mm), and the accuracy is improved through multiple rolling.

Annealing: Use bell furnace or bright annealing process (550-650℃) to eliminate cold rolling stress and adjust hardness.

Pickling and cleaning: Use passivators such as BONDERITE® CR225 to remove oil stains and avoid surface oxidation.

Shearing and inspection: Cut according to customer needs and test mechanical properties (tensile strength, conductivity).

Packaging: Use iron core winding and moisture-proof packaging to avoid damage during transportation.

Product Advantages Analysis
