Production process and product advantages of C10200 copper pipe:

1. Production process

Material selection

C10200 is oxygen-free copper (Oxygen-Free Copper), with a purity of up to 99.95%, an oxygen content of ≤0.03%, and a total impurity content of ≤0.05%. Its chemical composition strictly complies with international standards such as ASTM B75 to ensure high conductivity and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement.

Processing technology

Hot processing and cold processing: Preliminary forming through hot processing processes such as hot rolling and hot extrusion, and then the wall thickness and outer diameter of the pipe are accurately controlled by cold drawing (cold drawing) process (range: wall thickness 0.2mm~120mm, outer diameter 2mm~910mm).

Seamless pipe manufacturing: Seamless copper pipes are produced by pressing or drawing technology to ensure structural uniformity and density.

Annealing treatment: The annealing temperature range is 375-650℃ to eliminate work hardening and improve ductility and welding performance.

Surface treatment

The surface of the pipe can be polished, mirrored or sandblasted to meet the appearance and corrosion resistance requirements of different application scenarios.

Quality control

During the production process, it is necessary to pass multiple tests such as tensile strength test (tensile strength ≥ 275MPa), Rockwell hardness test (HBS35-95), hydrogen embrittlement test and chemical composition analysis to ensure compliance with ASTM, GB/T and other standards.

2. Product advantages

High electrical and thermal conductivity

The conductivity of C10200 copper is ≥ 100% IACS, and the thermal conductivity is 391W/(m·℃), which is suitable for high-power electrical equipment (such as microwave tubes, vacuum switches) and high-efficiency heat dissipation systems.

Excellent processing performance

It has both cold and hot processing adaptability and can be made into complex shapes through stamping, forging, drawing and other processes.

Outstanding welding performance, supports TIG welding, MIG welding and gas shielded welding, and the joint strength is high and the airtightness is good.

Corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement resistance

The oxygen-free property avoids the risk of hydrogen embrittlement, and forms a stable oxide film (patina) on the surface in a humid or high temperature environment, significantly extending the service life.

Wide range of applications

Construction: Water heating, heating and cooling pipes in residential and commercial buildings, pressure-resistant and environmentally friendly.

Industrial: LPG pipelines, medical gas delivery pipes, vacuum sealing devices and shipbuilding.

Electronic and electrical: electric vacuum devices (such as magnetrons, traveling wave tubes), coaxial cables and waveguide components.

Standardization and customization

The products comply with international standards such as ASTM B88, EN1057, JIS H3300, and support customized sizes (up to 12 meters in length) and surface treatment to meet diverse needs.
