Four steps of producing Aluminum coils

Aluminum coils are usually metal products used for flying shears after injection and drawing angle production processing by casting and rolling mills. General aluminum coil processing has 4 steps.

1. Smelting processing

2. Casting/hot rolling

Casting and rolling are a relatively core step in the production process of aluminum coils. Continuous casting and rolling processing refer to the condensation and plastic deformation production processing (rolling) of shape memory alloys in roll-type continuous casting dies; after the metal material has solidified in the continuous casting die, it is rolled on an extrusion press. However, these two proper names are generally not strictly distinguishable from each other necessary, and sometimes confused.

3. Cold rolling

The difference between hot rolling and cold rolling is that cold rolling is rolling at the work-hardening temperature, while hot rolling is rolling above the work-hardening temperature. Cold rolling can solve the problem that the plate cannot be hot strengthened. Generally, the surface layer is higher, and thin raw materials such as single zero foil and double zero foil can only be rolled by cold rolling.

4. Flat packing

Aluminum roll flattening can be divided into dry flattening and wet flattening. The essence is the use of cold rolling with a small depression rate (0.3%-3%). Levelling can improve the plate shape and increase the verticality of the plate. The hot-rolled strip roll diameter of the levelling machine should be as large as possible, and the hot-rolled strip with different roll faces is used for straightening to obtain different specified surface layers. The physical properties of the hot rolled strip can change within a certain range according to the adjustment of the levelling press down rate
