INTRODUCTION

Production process and product advantages of C61300 copper tube:

1. Production process

Raw material melting and casting

Use an industrial frequency furnace to melt cathode copper and phosphor copper alloy at 1200℃, and then form it through horizontal continuous casting process. Horizontal continuous casting technology can ensure the uniformity and high precision of copper tubes and improve the efficiency of subsequent processing.

Combination of hot and cold processing

The cast copper tube is water-cooled to 50℃, followed by milling, planetary rolling (such as planetary tube rolling method), triple drawing, coil drawing and other processes to achieve tube forming and size control.

It has excellent performance in cold processing (such as cold heading, thread rolling, stretching) and hot processing (hot forging, hot rolling), and is suitable for processing complex shapes.

Welding and heat treatment

It supports argon arc welding, flash welding and copper welding, but gas welding, tin welding and electroslag welding are not recommended.

The annealing process is carried out in the range of 606–871℃ to optimize the toughness and processing performance of the material.

Surface treatment and testing

The quality of the finished product is ensured through online annealing, surface cleaning, rewinding (defect detection) and other processes.

2. Product advantages

Excellent mechanical properties

Tensile strength is as high as 515–450 MPa (depending on thickness), yield strength (0.2% elongation) is 180–235 MPa, and elongation is ≥35%, with both high strength and good ductility.

Rockwell hardness B-80, shear strength of about 320 MPa, suitable for high-load scenarios.

Excellent corrosion resistance

Performs well in marine environments, chemical equipment and food processing, resistant to sulfuric acid corrosion, but not suitable for nitric acid environments.

Diverse processing adaptability

Balanced hot and cold processing performance, can be stamped, stretched, bent, cold heading and other forming processes.

Cutting performance is 30%, suitable for precision parts processing.

Wide range of applications

Used in condenser tubes, marine composite plates, fasteners (bolts, nuts), bearings, gears and other key components.

In heat exchangers, its high thermal conductivity (32 Btu/ft²·ft/hr·°F) can improve heat transfer efficiency, save materials and reduce equipment size

Environmental protection and economy

Waste materials (copper chips, scraps) and waste liquids (emulsions, mineral oils) in the production process can be recycled and meet environmental protection standards.

The material has a long life and reduces maintenance costs, especially suitable for marine engineering and chemical equipment.
