C52100 copper tubes have a wide range of sizes, usually ranging from 1.0 mm to 200 mm in diameter, and can be 2500 mm to 6000 mm in length. Specific specifications can be customized according to demand, for example, the round and flat (square and rectangular) phosphor bronze wire mentioned in the American standard ASTM B159 is also applicable to C52100 copper tubes.

ASTM B159/B159M-17: This standard specifies the requirements for round and flat (square and rectangular) phosphor bronze wire for C52100 copper tubes, including dimensions, units, additional requirements, and safety issues.

EN 12449: This standard specifies the nominal size, outer diameter, minimum wall thickness, and wall thickness tolerance of seamless copper tubes in detail.

GB/T 16866: China's national standard, which specifies the outer diameter of copper tubes and their allowable deviations.

Wear resistance and friction reduction: Due to the presence of tin and phosphorus, the friction coefficient is low (0.0125 when lubricated), suitable for wear-resistant parts such as bearings and sleeves.

Corrosion resistance: Excellent performance in the atmosphere, fresh water and sea water.

Cold processing performance: It can be strengthened by cold pressure processing, but it is easy to become hot brittle during hot processing.

Electrical conductivity/thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity is about 54.4 W/(m·K), and the electrical conductivity is moderate.

Welding performance: Supports soldering, copper welding, and arc welding, but submerged arc welding and electroslag welding have poor results.

Chemical composition and smelting

The main components of C52100 copper tube include copper (remainder), tin (7.0-8.6%), phosphorus (0.01-0.25%), and a small amount of iron, zinc, lead and other elements. The reasonable ratio of these components gives C52100 copper tube high strength, good corrosion resistance and cutting performance. During the production process, cathode copper and phosphor copper alloy are first melted to 1200℃ by an industrial frequency furnace, and then horizontal continuous casting and cooling are carried out.


Processing process

The processing flow includes milling, planetary rolling, stretching, annealing, straightening and other steps. For example, in the milling process, planetary rotary cutting technology is used to remove surface oxides; in the rolling process, metal recrystallization is achieved through planetary rolling technology to improve material strength and dimensional accuracy; the annealing process is processed by a bell-shaped bright annealing furnace to ensure the surface finish of the material.


Environmental protection and resource recycling

During the production process, scraps and waste emulsions are recycled, such as waste emulsions used for production wastewater treatment, and copper chips are recycled. In addition, the use of energy-saving frequency conversion technology and energy management technology further reduces production costs and improves efficiency.
