Lead (Pb): 3.4%-4.5% (key element, improving cutting performance).

Production process and product advantages of C54400 copper tube:
I. Production process
1. Raw material processing and melting
Cathode copper and phosphor copper alloy are used as raw materials, melted at a high temperature of 1200℃ through an industrial frequency furnace to form a uniform molten metal.
2. Continuous casting and cooling
The horizontal continuous casting process is used for forming, and then water-cooled to 50℃ to produce copper tube billets. The waste emulsion (S2) and copper chips (S3) generated in the process can be recycled.
Cold processing forming
Since C54400 contains lead (3.5%-4.5%), hot processing is prone to hot brittleness, so pressure processing is required in a cold state. The main processes include:
Milling: remove the surface oxide layer;
Planetary rolling: precision forming through a multi-roll mill;
Triple drawing and disc drawing: gradually drawing to the target size, and scraps (S4, S5) and waste mineral oil (S5) are generated in the process.
Annealing and finishing
Online annealing eliminates processing stress, and then surface cleaning, rewinding (defect detection) and other processes are carried out to finally obtain the finished copper tube.
2. Product advantages
Excellent corrosion resistance
Outstanding performance in seawater, atmosphere, acid and alkali environment, especially suitable for corrosive environments such as ships and marine engineering.
High strength and wear resistance
After heat treatment, the tensile strength can reach 275-745 MPa, and the hardness HRB 7-97, which is suitable for manufacturing high-load components such as bearings, bushings, gears, etc.
Excellent processing performance
Cutting performance: The lead content improves cutting efficiency, reaching 90% of free-cutting brass;
Cold processing: Supports cold rolling, cold forging and other processes, but the deformation must be controlled within 30%;
Welding performance: Can be soldered, brazed and spark welded.
Good electrical and thermal conductivity
