Production process

Raw material smelting and continuous casting

The production of C63020 copper tube begins with the smelting of cathode copper and phosphor copper alloy, which are melted at a high temperature of 1200℃ in an industrial frequency furnace. It is then formed by a horizontal continuous casting process and water-cooled to 50℃ to form a preliminary tube billet.


Rolling and drawing

The tube billet after continuous casting is milled to remove the surface oxide layer, and then gradually processed to the target size through planetary rolling (such as the planetary tube rolling method used by Jiangxi Copper) and triple drawing, coiling and other processes. This process can effectively improve the density and mechanical properties of the material.

It is particularly mentioned that the smooth copper tube adopts the horizontal continuous casting-planetary rolling method, while the internal threaded tube is produced by the planetary ball mold spinning process to ensure product accuracy.


Annealing and surface treatment

Online annealing is required during the processing process to eliminate stress, followed by surface cleaning (which may produce waste cleaning agent) and rewinding flaw detection to ensure the surface quality and internal defect-free of the final product.
