1. Production process

Smelting and continuous casting technology

Using large-tonnage electric furnace smelting combined with submerged liquid transfer and multi-head multi-stream horizontal continuous casting technology, copper alloy rods are directly produced from scrap copper. This process has less metal loss and is environmentally friendly (equipped with bag dust removal system), and the production efficiency is more than 10 times higher than that of traditional processes, and the product quality is stable. Some companies also use continuous extrusion technology to replace traditional hot extrusion processes to further shorten the production cycle.


Hot processing and forming


Hot forging: C64200 has excellent hot processing performance and is suitable for hot forging in the temperature range of 750-900°C. It can manufacture parts with complex shapes, such as valves, gears, etc.

Extrusion: The mainstream domestic process uses extrusion and stretching after casting to improve the material density and surface finish, reaching the international advanced level. Reverse extrusion technology combined with a combined drawing machine can produce high-precision copper rods.

Machining

Due to the excellent machinability of C64200 (high cutting performance can be achieved without adding lead), precision parts can be manufactured through processes such as turning and milling, and high dimensional accuracy can be maintained. Subsequent processes such as stamping, grinding and cleaning are used for forming and surface treatment.


Welding and processing

Supports TIG, MIG welding and silver brazing, but the surface needs to be pretreated with hydrofluoric acid or mixed acid to remove oxides. The annealing process can optimize the material properties.
