Size range

Diameter range:


The standard diameter range for round bars is 1mm to 200mm (customizable up to 800mm).


In some special applications (such as scientific research procurement), the bar diameter can reach large sizes such as Φ194mm and Φ180mm.


Length range:


The conventional length is 500mm to 6000mm, which can be customized on demand.


Specific length requirements can be seen in bidding cases, such as 1000mm to 1020mm.


Thickness/width (flat bars):


The thickness range of flat bars or rectangular bars is 0.1mm to 200mm, and the width can reach 800mm.


Tolerance and straightness:


The diameter tolerance is usually ±2mm to ±3mm, and the straightness requirement is <1mm to <2mm (adjusted according to application requirements).

Copper (Cu) content: ≥99.95% (oxygen-free copper No. 2) to ≥99.97% (oxygen-free copper No. 1), total impurity content ≤0.03%-0.05%.

Oxygen (O) content: generally ≤0.003% (30 ppm), ≤0.001% (such as vacuum application scenarios).

Impurity restrictions:


Lead (Pb) ≤0.004%, iron (Fe) ≤0.004%, sulfur (S) ≤0.004%, zinc (Zn) ≤0.003%, others such as bismuth (Bi), antimony (Sb), arsenic (As), nickel (Ni), etc. are all subject to restrictions.


Mechanical properties vary significantly depending on the material state (annealed, hard, etc.):


Tensile strength:


Soft state (annealed): 215-275 MPa (≈31.8-40 ksi).


Hard state (cold worked): 261-441 MPa (≈38-64 ksi), up to 462 MPa (67 ksi).


Yield strength:


Soft state: 49-78 MPa (≈7-11 ksi).


Hard state: 290-400 MPa (≈42-58 ksi).


3. Elongation:


Soft state: 35-55% (excellent plasticity after annealing).


Hard state: 10-15% (plasticity decreases after cold working).


4. Hardness:


Brinell hardness (HB): 35-45 HB in soft state, 85-95 HB in hard state.

Rockwell hardness: HRB 40 (soft), HRB 57-100 (hard).

Other properties:

Density: 8.90-8.94 g/cm³.

Modulus of elasticity: 115-120 GPa.

Shear strength: 150-240 MPa.


Thermal and electrical properties

Thermal conductivity: 383-391 W/(m·K) (20℃), equivalent to 100% IACS conductivity.

Melting point: 1080-1083℃.

Annealing temperature: 375-650℃, hot working temperature: 750-875℃.

C10200 copper bar is a high-purity oxygen-free copper material. Its production process and product advantages are as follows:


1. Production process

Raw material smelting

Use vacuum smelting or inert gas protection technology (such as argon) to effectively control the oxygen content of copper liquid (≤0.003%) and avoid hydrogen embrittlement. Some companies use raw materials such as waste copper and zinc ingots, smelt them through industrial frequency furnaces, and match them with smoke treatment systems.


Continuous casting

Copper rod billets are made through upward continuous casting or horizontal continuous casting processes to ensure that the internal structure of the material is uniform and dense. The molten copper water enters the continuous casting machine through the insulation furnace, and the cooling circulating water system controls the solidification process.


Forming processing


Hot extrusion: The continuous casting billet is heated to 800-900℃ and formed into a thick bar through an extruder, which is suitable for the production of large diameter specifications (20-450mm). Cold drawing: The hot extruded bar is subjected to multiple cold processing steps to gradually refine to the target size (diameter 1-200mm), while improving the surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

Annealing treatment

Intermediate annealing (temperature 400-600℃) is carried out during the processing to eliminate work hardening; finished product annealing optimizes conductivity and plasticity, and finally obtains soft (O state) or semi-hard (H state) products.


Post-processing and testing

Including drawing, sawing, straightening and other processes, combined with SGS certification to test chemical composition (Cu≥99.95%), conductivity (≥101%IACS) and mechanical properties to ensure compliance with international standards such as ASTM, JIS, and DIN.

Tensile strength ≥295MPa, elongation ≥3%, with high elasticity and fatigue limit, suitable for manufacturing precision instrument parts.

The low-temperature performance is stable and can maintain functionality in extreme environments of -196℃.
