Size range:

The outer diameter range of spot supply is wide, including 1mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, etc., and the length can reach 200mm.

Customized processing is supported, and pipes, bars or plates with different outer diameters and wall thicknesses can be produced according to needs.

International standards:

The corresponding grade in Japanese standard is CU30W70, and the American standard is WCu70.

Some suppliers refer to the industrial standards of Germany (such as DIN), the United States (such as ASTM) and Japan (such as JIS) for production.

Copper (Cu) content: 28%~32% (usually marked as 30%±2%)

Tungsten (W) content: remainder (about 70%)

Total impurities: ≤0.5%

Density: 13.8~14 g/cm³

High density mainly comes from the high specific gravity of tungsten (19.25 g/cm³), which is achieved through a composite process.

Hardness:

Brinell hardness (HB) ≥175~184

High hardness is due to the strengthening effect of tungsten, suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments.

Strength:

Flexural strength: ≥667~790 MPa

Tensile strength: ≥790 MPa (partial data)

Strength differences may be due to test methods (such as flexural strength and tensile strength) or process fluctuations.

Conductivity:

Conductivity ≥42% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard)

Resistivity ≤4.1 μΩ·cm, close to 1/2 of pure copper, balancing the needs of conductivity and arc ablation resistance.

Thermal properties:

Melt temperature ≥700℃, can withstand high temperatures above 1080℃ (copper melting point) in actual use.

Low thermal expansion coefficient, not easy to soften at high temperatures.

W70Cu3/WCu70 (tungsten copper alloy)

Production process

Infiltration method:

High temperature sintering of tungsten skeleton (1800-2200℃) followed by copper infiltration (1300-1400℃), density > 99.2%; or partial mixed powder (2-6% Cu + additives such as Ni) sintering followed by infiltration, suitable for alloys with φCu > 20%.

Direct sintering method:

Mixed oxides (such as WO₃ and Cu₂O) co-reduction sintering, φCu > 25%, density nearly 99%;

Liquid phase sintering (adding Ni/Co/Fe, etc.) to increase density, φCu > 20%;

Mechanical alloying nanopowder method: high energy ball milling to prepare nanopowder, low temperature sintering to achieve > 99% density, suitable for alloys with φCu > 20%.

Vacuum infiltration process: It is mentioned that this process is used to manufacture WCu70 tungsten copper tubes, combining static pressing and high temperature sintering of high purity tungsten powder and copper powder to ensure material uniformity and high density.

Product advantages

High melting point and high temperature resistance: The melting point of tungsten is 3410℃, and that of copper is 1083℃. The alloy has high temperature stability and is suitable for high-voltage switches, spark electrodes, etc.

High electrical conductivity/thermal conductivity: The excellent electrical conductivity of copper combined with the arc erosion resistance of tungsten is suitable for microelectronic heat dissipation and conductive components.

Low thermal expansion coefficient: It can be matched with ceramics and semiconductor materials by adjusting the tungsten content, and can be used in precision fields such as LED heat dissipation substrates.

High density and wear resistance: The density reaches 12-17g/cm³, and the wear resistance is excellent, which is suitable for molds and high-temperature military components.
