Size range
The size specifications of C26000 copper plate vary depending on the supply status and processing requirements:
Thickness range: Common thickness is 0.01-2.0mm (soft or hard plate), and some manufacturers can provide thicker plates, such as 0.15-100mm.
Width range: Standard width is 2-600mm, and some standards are extended to 880mm to meet special needs (such as photoengraving).
Length range: Conventional length is 500-1500mm, and the maximum length of cold-rolled plate can reach 3000mm (when the width is ≥100mm).

C26000 is a copper-zinc binary alloy (ordinary brass), the main components are:
Copper (Cu): 68.5%~71.5%
Zinc (Zn): Balance (about 28.5%~31.5%)
Impurity elements (total ≤0.3%):
Lead (Pb) ≤0.03%~0.07%
Iron (Fe) ≤0.05%~0.10%
Bismuth (Bi) ≤0.002%
Other trace elements such as phosphorus (P) and beryllium (Sb) are extremely low in content.
Mechanical properties vary significantly depending on the material state (annealing, cold working, etc.):
1. Annealed state (soft state)
Tensile strength (σb): 330-372 MPa or 340-460 MPa
Yield strength (σ₀.₂): 110-158 MPa or 70-230 MPa
Elongation (δ): ≥25% (some data show that it can reach 54-66%)
Hardness (HV): 85-145 or Rockwell B hardness 53-93

Key performance characteristics
Processing performance:
Excellent cold and hot processing performance, suitable for complex forming such as deep drawing and molding.
Contains a small amount of lead (0.03-0.07%) to improve machinability and reduce tool wear.
Corrosion resistance:
Stable in general atmosphere, fresh water and sea water, but prone to stress corrosion cracking, annealing treatment is required to eliminate internal stress.
Easy to oxidize and dezincify at high temperature, and protective atmosphere processing is required.

Production process
Melting and hot processing
The production of C26000 copper plate usually adopts induction melting process, and then forms ingots through vertical semi-continuous casting. After hot rolling (temperature range 750-830℃), the ingot enters the hot forming stage to improve the uniformity and machinability of the material.
Cold rolling and annealing
The hot-rolled plate needs to be milled to remove the surface oxide layer, and then the cold rolling process (such as cold rolling to reduce the thickness by 62%) significantly improves the strength and hardness of the material. After cold rolling, bright annealing (annealing temperature 520-650℃) is used to eliminate internal stress and restore plasticity, and finally finishing is performed to meet the dimensional accuracy requirements.

Corrosion resistance: good corrosion resistance in normal temperature atmosphere, water and oil, especially high resistance to dilute sulfuric acid and fatty acids, but easy to corrode and crack in sulfur-containing environments or strong acids (such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid).
Diversity of processing and application
Easy to weld, good cutting performance (contains trace lead to reduce tool wear), suitable for high-precision parts of automatic lathes.
Flexible specifications: thickness 0.01-100 mm, width up to 600 mm, providing multiple hardness levels such as O state (soft state) and H state (hard state).
