Thickness range

Depending on the product form, the thickness varies greatly:

Thin strip/foil: 0.005mm~3.0mm, suitable for fine stamping or electronic components.

Conventional strip: 0.15mm~12mm, some plates can reach 12mm (such as 1/4"~3/4" or 6.35~19.05mm).

Special applications: For example, the thickness of copper rods can reach 200mm, but the strip generally does not exceed 12mm.

Width range

Narrow strip: 8mm~610mm;

Wide strip: 20mm~1200mm, some suppliers support customization up to 1250mm.

Common plate sizes are 914mm×914mm or 1000mm×1100mm;

ASTM B187: specifies the size, mechanical properties and chemical composition of copper bars and strips, with thickness customized to 4 inches (101.6mm) and width up to 4 inches (101.6mm).


SAE CA110: corresponds to UNS C11000, requiring copper purity ≥ 99.9%.


EN standard (Europe)


EN 1652: general plate and strip standard; EN 13599: copper strip for electrical purposes.

CW004A: EN number corresponds to C11000, conductivity ≥100% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard).


JIS standard (Japan)


C1100: Corresponds to C11000, thickness range 0.1mm~2.5mm, width ≤600mm, conductivity ≥98% IACS.

Chinese standard


GB/T 18813-2002: Copper strip for transformer, thickness 0.1mm~2.5mm, width ≤1000mm, copper purity ≥99.9%.

After the revision of the national standard "Copper Strip for Cables", except that the conductivity of T2 is slightly lower than that of the American standard C11000, other indicators are better than the ASTM standard.
