EN standard (Europe)

In addition, the maximum outer diameter of C26000 copper tube in Chinese standard is usually 30mm, while the US standard can reach 105mm and the EU standard is 64mm. Customized service is provided, the outer diameter can reach 910mm, the wall thickness is 0.2mm~120mm, and the length can be freely cut.
International Standards
ASTM B135: General standard for seamless brass tubes, covering C26000 material.
JIS H3300: Japanese Industrial Standard, which specifies the seamless tube specifications of C2600 (i.e. C26000).
EN12449: European general seamless round tube standard, applicable to copper alloy tubes with similar performance.
ASTMB280, AS/NZS1571: Standards for specific applications such as air conditioning and refrigeration.
Performance and Features
Corrosion resistance: performs well in the atmosphere, fresh water and partially reducing environments, suitable for condensers, evaporators, etc.
Processability: supports hot and cold processing, welding, tinning and other processes, and has no tendency to stress corrosion.
Physical properties: density 8.7g/cm³, high thermal conductivity, stable strength at low temperatures, and excellent antifreeze performance.
C26000 is a copper-zinc binary alloy (ordinary brass), the main components are:
Copper (Cu): 68.5%~71.5%
Zinc (Zn): Balance (about 28.5%~31.5%)
Impurity elements (total ≤0.3%):
Lead (Pb) ≤0.03%~0.07%
Iron (Fe) ≤0.05%~0.10%
Bismuth (Bi) ≤0.002%
Other trace elements such as phosphorus (P) and beryllium (Sb) are extremely low in content.
Mechanical properties vary significantly depending on the material state (annealing, cold working, etc.):
1. Annealed state (soft state)
Tensile strength (σb): 330-372 MPa or 340-460 MPa
Yield strength (σ₀.₂): 110-158 MPa or 70-230 MPa
Elongation (δ): ≥25% (some data show that it can reach 54-66%)
Hardness (HV): 85-145 or Rockwell B hardness 53-93
2. Cold work hardening state (such as H08 superhard state)
Tensile strength (σb): up to 830 MPa or 890 MPa
Yield strength (σ₀.₂): 450 MPa
Elongation (δ): as low as 3%

Key performance characteristics
Processing performance:
Excellent cold and hot processing performance, suitable for complex forming such as deep drawing and molding.
Contains a small amount of lead (0.03-0.07%) to improve machinability and reduce tool wear.
Corrosion resistance:
Stable in general atmosphere, fresh water and sea water, but prone to stress corrosion cracking, annealing treatment is required to eliminate internal stress.
Easy to oxidize and dezincify at high temperature, and protective atmosphere processing is required.

Melting point: 899~955°C
Electrical conductivity: 28%~37% IACS (about 1/3 of pure copper)

Production process
Raw material processing and smelting
Use an industrial frequency furnace to melt cathode copper and phosphor copper alloy at a high temperature of 1200℃, and form copper tube billets through a horizontal continuous casting process. Water cooling to 50℃ is used in the cooling stage to ensure material uniformity.
2. Rolling and stretching
Rolling process: Planetary rolling machine is used for long-stroke and ring hole rolling, which significantly improves dimensional accuracy and reduces copper tube eccentricity (error control within ±0.05mm).
Stretching process: Use high-speed series joint drawing machine and floating core head stretching technology to ensure the smoothness of the internal and external surfaces (Ra≤0.8μm) and support the production of long-length pipes.
Heat treatment
Matching net chain bright annealing furnace (annealing temperature 520-650℃) eliminates internal stress, makes the surface free of oxidation spots and bright and clean, and maintains stable mechanical properties of the material.
Straightening and testing
High-precision straightening machines ensure the straightness of copper tubes (≤0.3mm/m) without straightening marks.
Swiss imported direct-reading spectrometers, electronic tensile machines and other equipment accurately detect chemical composition and mechanical properties, with data error ≤0.5%.
Energy saving and environmental protection
Adopt frequency conversion power regulation technology and energy automatic metering system to reduce energy consumption; the recycling rate of waste emulsions and copper chips generated during the production process is more than 90%.

Excellent corrosion resistance in the atmosphere and fresh water, resistant to frost heave and impact, no yellow water phenomenon in long-term use, and a service life of more than 50 years.
It should be noted that corrosion cracking may occur in sulfur or ammonia environments, and carbon dioxide or nitrogen protection is required at high temperatures.

Excellent hot and cold processing performance: supports complex forming processes such as deep drawing, stamping, and forging, and the cutting efficiency is 30% of ordinary brass.
Good welding performance, can be brazed, resistance welding and other methods, the strength of the weld is ≥ 80% of the parent material.
