C36000 copper tube is a kind of American standard lead brass material, which belongs to free-cutting brass alloy and has excellent machining performance and anti-friction characteristics. Its chemical composition is based on zinc, containing lead (Pb) 0.8%-4%, aluminum (Al) ≤0.5%, iron (Fe) ≤0.10%, and density is 9.6g/cm³. Production process

Smelting and casting


The cathode copper and phosphor copper alloy are melted at 1200℃ in an industrial frequency furnace, and the tube billet is formed by horizontal continuous casting. The application of submerged flow combined furnace technology simplifies the furnace structure and reduces energy consumption.


The proportion of copper (60-63%), zinc (remainder) and trace elements (such as lead 2.5-3.7%, iron ≤0.35%) needs to be precisely controlled in the batching process.


Hot and cold processing


Rolling and stretching: Planetary rolling machines and high-speed stretching machines are used to improve dimensional accuracy and surface finish and reduce eccentricity. For example, Zhejiang Hailiang Company uses floating core head stretching technology to ensure the quality of internal and external surfaces.

Drawing and straightening: Further processing is carried out through triple drawing, disc drawing and other processes, and high-precision straightening machines are used to ensure straightness and avoid straightening marks.

Heat treatment


Online induction annealing technology (600-650℃) is used to adjust hardness and eliminate internal stress while shortening the process flow. In some cases, aging hardening treatment is required to improve strength.

Finishing and testing


Surface cleaning, rewinding and other processes ensure the cleanliness of the finished product. Swiss imported direct reading spectrometers, electronic tensile testing machines and other equipment are used for precise detection of chemical composition and mechanical properties.
