C36000 Free Cutting Brass Pipe/Tube
C36000 copper tube is a kind of American standard lead brass material, which belongs to free-cutting brass alloy and has excellent machining performance and anti-friction characteristics. Its chemical composition is based on zinc, containing lead (Pb) 0.8%-4%, aluminum (Al) ≤0.5%, iron (Fe) ≤0.10%, and density is 9.6g/cm³. It is widely used in precision machinery fields such as watch parts, automobile parts and riveted parts.

ASTM standards:


ASTM B16: Standardizes the manufacturing requirements of free-cutting brass bars, rods and profiles, including chemical composition, mechanical properties (such as tensile strength ≥345-395MPa, elongation 7%-15%) and dimensional tolerances.

ASTM B88: Although it is mainly for copper tubes for water and gas transportation (such as K/L/M type), its provisions on copper tube wall thickness, outer diameter tolerance and pressure can provide reference for related applications.

European standards:


EN 12449: Applicable to general seamless round copper tubes, but the corresponding grade of C36000 is not clearly included in this standard and needs to be confirmed in combination with the specific alloy code.
