Size range (plate)
The size range of C27400 copper plate varies according to standards and suppliers. Common specifications include:
Thickness:
Regular supply: 0.3-10 mm (soft state), 4-14 mm (heat-treated state).
Extended range: 0.5-80 mm thickness options are available.
Width: 0.5-3 m (adjusted according to plate length).
Length: Plates are commonly 1-6 m.
Note: Non-standard sizes (such as extra-wide and extra-thin) need to be customized.
3. International standards
The international standards of C27400 cover multiple systems:
ASTM standards:
ASTM B248: Dimensions and tolerances for copper alloy plates and strips.
2. ISO standards:
The corresponding grade is CuZn38 (ISO 426/1).
European standards:
DIN EN: marked as CW508L (German standard).
The corresponding one in French standard (NF EN) and British standard (BS EN) is CZ108.
Other regional standards:
Japanese standard (JIS): Approximate grade C2740.
Chinese standard (GB): Partial performance is close to H62 brass.

Copper (Cu): 61%-64%
Zinc (Zn): Balance (about 35%-39%)
Lead (Pb): ≤0.10% (some data suggest 0.08%-0.5%, but most limit to ≤0.1%)
Iron (Fe): ≤0.05%-0.15%
Other elements (such as nickel, tin, aluminum, etc.): Total ≤0.5%
Mechanical properties are significantly affected by processing state (such as soft state, hard state, hot state, etc.), and typical values are as follows:

Soft state (M): ≥290 MPa (such as annealed state)
Hard state (H80): 510 MPa (about 74 ksi)
General standard: 220-585 MPa (depending on processing state)
Yield strength (σ₀.₂)
Soft state: ≥160 MPa
Hard state (H80): 379 MPa (about 55 ksi)
Other states: 28-48 ksi (about 193-331 MPa)
