The spot specifications are usually φ1.0-φ200mm.
In the industry standard, the diameter range of brass rods varies according to the processing method:
The specifications for hot extrusion production are 10-90mm, and the specifications for drawing or annealing production can be extended to 3-80mm.
The standard limit diameter of wear-resistant brass rods is 5-80mm.
After some standards are adjusted, the diameter of brass rods such as H62 can reach 10-260mm, but the specific adjustment of C23000 needs to refer to the specific standards.
Length range:
The common length is 2500-6000mm, and some standards require a length deviation of +15mm for fixed length or multiple length.

ASTM standards:
ASTM B927/B927M-23: Standardizes the mechanical properties (such as tensile strength, hardness grade H01/H02/H04) and chemical composition of brass bars for hot and cold water pipes.

ISO standards:
ISO 426-2: International general standard for copper-zinc alloys.
Other standards:
DIN 17660: German standard for brass and bronze alloys.
GB/T: In the Chinese national standard, the corresponding grade of C23000 is H90.
Main components:
Copper (Cu): The content ranges from 84.0% to 86.0%.
Zinc (Zn): As a residual component, it usually accounts for about 14%-16%.

Lead (Pb): The maximum content does not exceed 0.05%.
Iron (Fe): The maximum content does not exceed 0.05% (some standards such as GB/T 5231-2012 stipulate that Fe≤0.03%)
Mechanical properties vary depending on processing status, hardness level and product size:
Tensile strength:
H01 (semi-hard): Minimum tensile strength for bars with diameters less than 1/2 inch is 305 MPa (44 ksi), and for bars with diameters greater than 1 inch is 275 MPa (40 ksi).
H02 (semi-hard): 345 MPa (50 ksi) for bars with diameters less than 1/2 inch, and 275 MPa (40 ksi) for bars with diameters greater than 1 inch.
H04 (hard): 435 MPa (63 ksi) for bars with diameters less than 1/2 inch, and 400 MPa (58 ksi) for bars with diameters greater than 1 inch.
Combined with other standards, the tensile strength range can reach 269-724 MPa (39-105 ksi).

Wide range, from 69 MPa (10 ksi) to 480 MPa (70 ksi), depending on processing
Elongation:
Up to 55% (2-inch gauge length), elongation for different hardness grades in ASTM standards varies with diameter.
Hardness:
Rockwell B hardness ranges from 48-87, Rockwell Superficial 30T hardness ranges from 51-77; hardness values vary in different annealing states.

Modulus of Elasticity: Approximately 110-117 GPa.

Production process and product advantages of C23000 copper rod:
1. Production process
Raw material preparation and smelting
The raw materials are mainly scrap copper, electrolytic copper, zinc ingots, etc., which are heated to 1100℃ by electric furnace or industrial frequency furnace for smelting, and slag remover is added to remove impurities.
Some enterprises adopt the "large-tonnage electric furnace smelting-submerged liquid transfer-multi-head multi-stream horizontal continuous casting" technology to directly use scrap copper for production, reducing metal loss and pollution.
Forming and processing
The smelted copper liquid is formed by continuous casting or reverse extrusion technology. Reverse extruders (such as 38MN grade) can produce high-density and high-strength copper rods with a single ingot weight of nearly 1 ton, significantly improving the yield rate.
Subsequent processes include hot extrusion, skinning treatment to remove the oxide layer, and annealing (520-700℃) to optimize material properties.
Environmental protection and efficiency
The bag dust removal system is used to reduce smoke emissions, and the recycling of cooling water reduces energy consumption.
Continuous and automated production lines combined with computer control technology improve production efficiency and product quality.
