Production process and product advantages of C27400 copper rod:


I. Production process

1. Melting and continuous casting technology

Adopting advanced large-tonnage electric furnace smelting technology, directly using scrap copper for smelting, combined with submerged liquid transfer and multi-head multi-stream horizontal continuous casting process, efficient production is achieved. This technology has less metal loss and less environmental pollution, and a single device can simultaneously continuously cast 64 products of different specifications, and the production efficiency is more than 10 times higher than that of traditional processes. In addition, some processes use continuous extrusion (such as continuous extrusion of copper wire rods) to replace traditional hot extrusion to shorten the process.


2. Forming and processing


Hot processing and annealing: The hot processing temperature range is 820~870℃, the annealing temperature is 600~700℃, and low-temperature annealing (260℃) is used to eliminate internal stress.

Red punching process: After the copper rod is cut, it is heated to 800℃ by natural gas for red punching, and then annealed to remove the oxide scale, and finally machined and polished.

Surface treatment: including polishing, sawing, straightening and other steps to ensure surface smoothness and dimensional accuracy.


3. Environmental protection and automation

During the production process, a bag dust removal system is used to control the dust concentration below 10mg/L and reduce unorganized emissions. At the same time, computer control technology is widely used to achieve continuous and automated production and improve quality stability.
