Detailed size range:
Thickness range: According to different processing techniques, the thickness range of C18200 copper plate is relatively wide:
Cold rolled plate: 0.01-6 mm (suitable for precision processing needs).
Hot rolled plate: 2-200 mm (suitable for conventional industrial use).
Forged plate: 20-1000 mm (for ultra-thick plate needs).
Width and length:
Common large size specifications are 2000 mm (width) × 6000 mm (length).
In some standards, the width range can reach 400-880 mm and the length can reach 500-1500 mm (such as the revised data of the copper plate standard for photoengraving, but it needs to be combined with the specific application scenario).
The maximum length of cold rolled plate can reach 3000 mm (when the width ≥ 100 mm).
International standards:
C18200 copper plate complies with the standards of many countries, including:
China standard: GB/T 5231-2012, corresponding to grade TCr1.
American standard:
ASTM standard (such as ASTM B152, etc.).
RWMA (Resistance Welding Manufacturers Association) Class 2 standard.
European standard: DIN standard.
Other standards: can meet ISO, JIS, BS and other international general standards according to requirements.

C18200 copper plate production process and product advantages:
Production process
Casting and deformation processing
C18200 copper alloy can be cast to produce complex-shaped parts, and can also be hot-rolled, cold-rolled, forged and other processes in a deformed state. The hot working temperature range is 800-925°C. Cold-rolled plates (thickness <2 inches) have higher hardness and tensile strength, while forged plates have low internal stress and are not easily deformed during processing, making them suitable for precision applications.
Aging hardening treatment
After the material is softened by annealing (1000°C water quenching), its performance can be significantly improved by cold working or aging treatment (425-500°C insulation for 2-4 hours). After aging treatment, the conductivity can reach 80% IACS, and the high-temperature strength is twice that of pure copper. A coreless industrial frequency furnace is used during the melting and casting process to ensure uniform distribution of chromium elements, and high-performance industrial production is achieved in combination with quenching and aging processes.
Welding and machining
The alloy is easy to solder, silver solder and braze, but high-temperature welding such as oxyacetylene welding will destroy the performance after aging treatment and should be used with caution. Cooling lubricant needs to be added during cutting, and the processing performance is 20% of free-cutting brass.
Product advantages
Excellent physical properties
High electrical and thermal conductivity: electrical conductivity ≥ 80% IACS, good thermal conductivity, suitable for resistance welding electrodes, circuit breaker components, etc.
High temperature stability: high strength at 400°C, softening temperature up to 930°C, excellent oxidation resistance, suitable for high-temperature molds and welding equipment.
Wear resistance and creep resistance: hardness (HRC 38-44) and wear resistance are significantly improved after aging treatment, and stress relaxation resistance is outstanding.
Safety and economy
Compared with beryllium copper, C18200 has no beryllium vapor toxicity risk, and is safer to manufacture, use and waste disposal. And no special smelting equipment is required, which reduces production costs. Hot workability is better than phosphor bronze and nickel silver, and the yield rate and production efficiency are higher.
Wide range of applications
Suitable for high temperature conductive and wear-resistant parts of electrical appliances (such as welding machine electrodes, collector rings), precision molds (food molds, sanitary ware molds), high temperature resistant structural parts of aerospace and automotive industries. Its uprightness and surface finish are excellent in EDM.
Disadvantages to be noted
The material is sensitive to notches, and sharp corners should be avoided during design to prevent mechanical damage caused by stress concentration. Re-aging treatment is required after welding to restore performance.
