International Standards

ASTM Standards:

Copper Strip: Thickness tolerance refers to ASTM B152, for example, when the thickness is ≤0.1 mm, the tolerance is ±0.012 mm.

EN Standards:

Copper Plate/Copper Strip follows EN 1652 (corresponding to DIN 1787), with thickness ranging from 0.006 mm to 50 mm, and width graded by thickness (e.g. 0.5-0.8 mm width ≤600 mm).

GB/T Standards:

Production process and product advantages of C18150 copper plate and copper strip/coil:


1. Production process


Forming process


The blank is prepared by melting and casting process, using cathode copper (purity ≥99.99%) and chromium, zirconium and other alloy elements to smelt, and the chromium content is controlled to 0.5-1.5% and zirconium to 0.05-0.25%.


The continuous extrusion (Conform Extrusion) technology is used in the hot working stage to extrude the blank from 12.5mm diameter to a smaller size (such as 8-10mm), significantly refining the grain and improving the mechanical properties.


Cold working includes rolling, cold heading, machining, etc., and the surface roughness (up to 1.64μm) and material removal rate are optimized by controlling the plate thickness, cooling speed and processing parameters (such as cutting speed 1200rpm, feed rate 0.06mm/rev).


The heat treatment adopts solid solution treatment + artificial aging (such as AT and HT processes) to improve the hardness (HRB 80) and softening temperature (>500°C).

Processing adaptability


Supports conventional metal processing technologies such as welding (arc welding, brazing), bending, and stamping, but oxyacetylene welding is not recommended.

High-speed milling pretreatment is required during discharge machining to reduce electrode loss.

2. Product advantages

High strength and high electrical/thermal conductivity


Tensile strength reaches 550-700MPa (depending on the state), electrical conductivity ≥80%IACS, thermal conductivity 320-330W/m·K, with high strength and high conductivity, better than traditional alloys such as C7025 and C19400.

At the same conductivity, the cost is only 54% of C7025, with significant cost performance.

High temperature resistance and wear resistance


Softening temperature >500°C (better than 200°C of pure copper and 350°C of silver-containing copper), and stable performance is maintained at high temperature.

Hardness reaches 170-200HV, excellent wear resistance, suitable for high-load scenarios (such as resistance welding electrodes and molds).

Processing and anti-deformation performance


Good cold and hot processing formability, high stress relaxation resistance, and thin sheet processing is not easy to bend.


Chromium elements improve cutting performance, reduce processing adhesion, and extend tool life.


Wide application


Applicable to high-end fields such as high-current connectors, new energy vehicle charging and discharging systems, and high-speed rail motor end rings.
