C12200 copper coil is a high-purity phosphorus-deoxidized copper, with a main composition of 99.90% to 99.98% copper and 0.015% to 0.04% phosphorus, which has excellent thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, as well as good processing performance. This copper alloy is widely used in electrical connectors, heating elements, industrial equipment (such as kettles, electroplating anodes), as well as construction and automotive parts due to its high purity and low resistance.

Thickness: 0.05-1.5 mm (the national standard has been revised to expand the range, originally 0.07-0.8 mm).


Width: 10-305 mm (originally 15-305 mm).


Application scenarios: Mainly used in the manufacture of power cables, fireproof cables and communication cables.


General copper coil


Thickness: 0.1-2.0 mm (specific values may be adjusted by suppliers).

1. Production process

Raw materials and deoxidation process

C12200 belongs to phosphorus deoxidized copper (Cu-DHP), using phosphorus as a deoxidizer, copper purity ≥99.9%, phosphorus content 0.015%-0.040%. Its deoxidation process avoids the problem of hydrogen embrittlement and is particularly suitable for processing under reducing atmosphere (such as welding and annealing).


Efficient rolling technology


The planetary rolling technology is adopted to eliminate the heating and extrusion processes in the traditional process, and the ingot is directly cold processed, which significantly shortens the production process and reduces energy consumption.


Combined with continuous casting technology, copper strips with large coil weight (up to 6 tons) and high precision (thickness tolerance <0.003mm) can be produced, and the single coil length is long, which is suitable for subsequent cold processing.


Microstructure control

The grain structure is regulated by the rolling process, and the ingot is formed into equiaxed grains after rolling, which improves the uniformity and forming performance of the material.

Excellent processing performance

Outstanding ductility: Compared with Cu-ETP copper, C12200 exhibits better plasticity in cold processing and can be subjected to multiple progressive stretching without intermediate annealing.

Hydrogen embrittlement resistance: There is no risk of hydrogen embrittlement in hydrogen-containing reducing atmospheres (such as annealing or welding), and it is suitable for special processes such as steel substrate cladding.

Supports a variety of processing methods: including bending, welding, stamping, deep drawing, etc., suitable for the manufacture of complex parts.

Mechanical and physical properties


Tensile strength: The tensile strength of the drawn state (H58) is ≥290MPa, and the strength and elongation of the light drawn state (H55) are both up to standard (elongation ≥25%).

Electrical conductivity/thermal conductivity: The electrical conductivity is about 85% IACS, which is lower than Cu-ETP, but still meets the needs of air conditioning pipes, electrical connectors, etc.

Corrosion resistance: The structure is dense and uniform, and the corrosion resistance is excellent, which is suitable for drinking water projects and marine environments.
